LOCAL CONCERT ALERT, and A Northern Rocks Magazine Update!

Alright everyone, let's get to some more news items, starting off with a LOCAL CONCERT ALERT!!!

On April 18th, a concert will be held at The Oddfellows Hall as a going away party for Sara Kutt, who's moving away from Sault Ste. Marie the next day! Your headliners are the reunited Sudbury hardcore band Three For Fallacy! (Nice to see them back together!) The only other metal band on the lineup (that I'm aware of, at least) are locals The Undead Warriors (remember, they won the Battle of the Bands last month?) Now, they've decided to change their name to Necropolis, but the poster still says The Undead Brown Pelican Warriors, so just to avoid any confusion, they're the same band!

Also to be featured are local punk rockers The Fury, acoustic/comedy act The John, Blind River indie band Actors Address, punk band Good Morning Gorillas, and I Am Lovesick, an acoustic side project featuring members of Three For Fallacy! The doors for this show will open at 6:30, and tickets are just $5 in advance, or $8 at the door, or $5 at the door with a gift! You can get tickets from Sara Kutt on Facebook or at 253-8752! And to confirm your attendance and get full information, head to this concert's official Facebook event page!

Next up, on Wednesday, you should have recieved the newest issue of Northern Rocks Magazine in your inboxes! Nothing huge relating to local metal shows or bands, but there is a couple metal things! There's some Northern Ontario tour stories from Fredericton hardcore band We, The Undersigned, and a cover story on Montreal's Blind Witness (who've played here a number of times in the past!) As well, contributing writer Judge gave Lamb of God's new album Wrath just two stars out of five! I completely disagree, but respect their opinion! And of course, if you want a subscription to Northern Rocks Magazine, and to get the scoop on all music in Northern Ontario, head over to their official website to get a subscription!

And amazingly, there's no metal concerts in Sault Michigan this weekend, to my knowledge! If I find any, I'll correct myself and tell you guys! But other than that, I think that's all for tonight, so I'll hopefully have some more news in the next few days! And remember to read my review of the Stillbroke concert immediately below this post!
