Local Concert Preview (SNFU/Killdozer), And Other Assorted News!

First of all, I should apologize for any posting "differences" you might notice compared to my usual posts. On my uncle's computer, Blogger behaves slightly different, so if there's extra spaces here, or a spelling mistake there, don't blame me. Now, let's get caught up on local news, I haven't had much time to look for stuff, but I do have a local concert preview, so let's start with that, and whatever news I've had time to scrounge up afterwards!


So tomorrow night at The Lock City Grand Theater, there will be some metal at a local punk show! Operation: Killdozer, who competed at the YMCA Battle of the Bands in March, will return to the stage as one of many support acts for Edmonton punk legends SNFU! Though I'm not really into punk as much as metal, SNFU are good, so check them out! As well, this concert will feature Ottawa punk rockers Snatchback, Toronto's TheEndProgram, and a pair of local bands: Nebraska Arms and The Scary Uncles!


Tickets are $20, but remember, SNFU are legends, so the price isn't unfair. Doors open at 6:00, and tickets will be available at the door if you don't have any yet! • As of 3:00 PM today, we are still in 3rd place in the Kiss voting! We have also crossed 9,000 total votes, and are around 1,000 behind Oshawa for 2nd. • Finally, I just got word that local hard rockers Stillbroke have opened an official Youtube account! Currently, it features ten excellent quality live videos from their recent concert at The Verdi Hall, which you can check out here! Thanks to Laurie Frigault for the information! The joys of vacation, huh? But I must say, I saw Disturbed on the weekend, and it was fucking AWESOME, so it's not all bad!
