LOCAL CONCERT ALERTS (Havadder, Lucky 13, And RPM), And Sault Ontario Weekend Concert Previews!!

Hey guys, I apologize for the slowdown in updates on the site over the last few days, my computer issues remain ongoing, and using a 10 year old laptop is only so effective. We'll cover most of this weekend's concert previews today, including a bunch of SHORT NOTICE LOCAL CONCERT ALERTS over the next two nights, but one of the acts below announced this weekend's gigs before this week. Also, we will touch on the Highway 63 shows this weekend in tomorrow's post, in order to spread out our previews, and any extra late notice shows will come then too. Now, here's what you need to know!

Local classic/hard rock quartet Havadder will return to The Rockstar Bar for a one-night-only concert TOMORROW NIGHT! Apologies for the short notice, the band just announced the show on their Facebook page yesterday. Fresh off of their return to this venue last week after over a year away, the Jason Roy-led cover veterans should have another night of solid hard and classic rock renditions in mind for fans at The Algonquin Pub's upstairs bar tomorrow night! Also, the newest photo on Havadder's Facebook page from last week appears to confirm that Thrill Junkies frontman Travis Sharpe has returned to the band full time as their bassist, replacing Lucas Bugyra, though I'll note that the band's lineup on Facebook remains unchanged. If true, a reason for Lucas' second departure hasn't been announced, but hopefully all is well, and I hope we see him back in a new band soon! Travis is a good fit, having played with Jason and fellow recent returnee Scott McLurg in their 2012 lineup, so hopefully the current lineup sustains throughout 2015 and beyond!

Also, note that this is a one-nighter due to the RPM concert on Saturday that we'll address in a bit. Havadder's show TOMORROW NIGHT has a 10:30 PM start time, a 19+ age limit, and while there's no announced cover charge, bring $5 just in case. For more details, visit the official Facebook event page, and don't forget to have at 'er with Havadder TOMORROW NIGHT, especially given how successful last weekend's show was! For a preview, here's the guys late last year!

Next up, we'll take a brief detour from The Rockstar Bar, as local alternative hard rock cover quartet Lucky 13 will play their first shows of 2015 when they rock The Rednecks Saloon TOMORROW & SATURDAY NIGHT! Apologies for the short notice again, the band just announced these shows via their Facebook event page yesterday. These will surprisingly be Lucky 13's first solo concerts (Toystock aside) outside of The Rockstar Bar since February, and while the band are hyping this as "our first time at Rednecks", that's nominal only, as the guys did play there when it was The Nicolet Tavern in early 2013. It's been a long time either way for Ed, Jeremey, Jeff, and Roger to rock this Albert Street West venue with their varied and often heavy covers, so keep their first 2015 dates in mind THIS WEEKEND! There's a 19+ age limit, no announced cover, and a 10:00 PM start time in effect, so see above for more details, and here they are last fall!

Lastly for short notice concert announcements, sporadically seen local classic/hard rock band RPM are apparently returning to The Rockstar Bar themselves for a one-night-only show THIS SATURDAY NIGHT! Again, apologies for the short notice, we only just heard about this show via The Rockstar Bar's Facebook group this week. We don't hear much from RPM (featuring veteran local musicians Dino Mazzuca, Marcel Rizzo, Lindsay Pugh, and Ben Pascuzzi), but you may remember them from at least three 2014 concerts, including shows at the same venue in January and June, and a Rednecks Saloon appearance last fall, not to mention their Rock For Dimes set in 2013. I have heard that they cover a fair amount of heavier tunes, and while I can't add too much else, Lindsay's extensive repertoire alone is a good harbinger, so keep RPM's Saturday night show in mind! Apologies too for missing their last couple of shows for coverage on the site, but remember, RPM don't have a known online page to promote concerts with.

Like TOMORROW'S Havadder show, RPM will likely be on at 10:30 PM on SATURDAY NIGHT, this is a 19+ event, and bring $5 just in case for a possible cover. Check the above links for more details, and hopefully we hear more from RPM soon (but go see them on Saturday to see for yourselves!)

Finally for today's previews, here's the only ones we knew in advance of this week, as local hard rock solo artist Tym Morrison is slated to return to The Harp Bar & Grill for the fourth & fif times this year TOMORROW & SATURDAY NIGHT! Making his second full weekend stops of the year, expect the longtime Caveman Morrison frontman's acoustic renditions of hard rock and metal classics to go over well once again at the former Madison's Pub this weekend! As usual for his year+ long run at The Harp, Tym will headline their jam night tomorrow and play a usual solo gig on Saturday, and for each, there's no announced cover charge, a 10:00 PM start time, and a 19+ age limit. For more details, visit the official Facebook event page, don't miss Tym's latest Harp dates this weekend, and here he is at Mill Square!

That's all for now, but stay tuned for our Highway 63 previews, any late notice shows, and more tomorrow! Thanks everyone!
