Mike Haggith - "The Warinside" CD Review!!

It's now time for our 72nd monthly CD review at The Sault Metal Scene, marking six straight years of monthly album reviews on the site, so thanks to everyone for following along then, now, and beyond! This month, we're taking a look at a Mike Haggith solo album for the fifth time, that being his 49th and newest CD "The Warinside", which was released on Bandcamp on May 31st in advance of the hyped release concert at The Rednecks Saloon on Friday. Alternately spelled "The Warrenside" in many postings as an inside joke from the album booklet, this album is a concept release themed around personal events in Mike's life from last year. Recorded at Galactic Records in Windsor save for vocals, one song, and guest parts (which were done locally at Paperclip Productions), Mike is once again the primary instrumentalist on the album, but he was joined by his Haggith/Din bandmate Curtis McKenzie on guitar and/or backing vocals on all but 4 songs.

As well, Curtis gets co-writing credit on the last song too, and Candace Warren is credited as a co-writer on the third track. "The Warinside" is now available on Bandcamp on a "name your price" model, but physical copies will be available starting Friday for a price to be announced, but at the release show, $10 gets you the CD and concert admission. There are free streams of the album on Bandcamp & YouTube as well (song names are linked to YouTube copies), but consider buying the album to support Mike's work! Featuring 10 songs at about 49 minutes in length, let's kick off this review with the first song!

First is  "We Met As Surrogates", which opens the album with background noise and samples of what sounds like the outdoors near a highway before the music fully takes over 90 seconds in with a continuation of the orchestral rock sounds of Mike's late-era solo material. The sung stretches of the song is suitably energetic with bite, and Curt's guitar solo flows well between them, but the drums here do sound programmed, which gives the song more of an artificial sound, especially considering Mike's drumming background. The song has good emotion and flows with the personal themes of the album (included samples of a phone ringing), and it's an effective way to start the disc! Next is "The Snake", which is a softer and more traditional song that has some romantic overtones and an overall optimistic vibe that makes use of the symphonic keyboard work. Mike and Curt harmonize well vocally on choruses, and the drums sound more natural, but fans of Mike's heavier songs may be left wanting more

Third on the album is "Candy Is A Hooker's Name", and this is keeps the upbeat tone going with a bit more of a chorus edge, albeit a little empty sounding on verses, with Mike singing only overtop of drums and keyboard (though note that this Curtis isn't featured here.) The beat is catchy on the bridge, it's not overly long, and Mike's vocals are smooth and fit the themes, but this track could use a more prominent guitar role to push it over the top. Then we have "Someday", which is the longest song on the CD, and also the slowest yet, with a shift in both musical and lyrical tone that meshes with Mike's personal life events that are documented with this album. The first completely solo track with no guest performers or writers, "Someday" is a well layered and thought out song that definitely seems like Mike poured his emotion into it while maintaining the symphonic structure, and while I prefer his more upbeat and heavier songs, this serves it's purpose!

Song #5 is a re-recording of "Lay My Body Down To Rest", which was originally on Mike's 2009 solo release "I Hate My Life & I Want To Die". The original version is largely the same song in structure and lyrics, but the new re-recording makes use of grander symphonic use, better recording quality, and more experienced musicianship, and is also 12 seconds longer. It's definitely a better and fuller realized version of this song, and given the album's current trajectory, it fits fine as sort of the symbolic "low point" of the story, despite being a re-recording of a 6 year old song for a new concept release. Dark and moody, but also grand sounding! That's followed by "Of Cars & Criminals", which begins with what sounds like a vinyl record starting before transitioning into the actual song, with a softer guitar riff yet a more upbeat sound aided by the backing keyboard. Curtis returns on guitar and backing vocals here, adding a little something extra to this song, which admittedly sounds a bit too "fun" compared to the lyrics, but fans of Mike's regular songs will appreciate the return to form!

Seventh is "September", which is the CD's shortest track, and also the only instrumental. It transitions from a solo piano performance to including other instruments, but never wavers from it's overall ambiance, complete with background effects of rain and what sound like cars driving down the road. It's a nice and well-composed bridge between songs, but on it's own, there's not a lot there for fans of Mike's heavier and fuller material. Next up is "Out Of My League", which has a nice catchy choruses while maintaining a melancholy vibe, complete with low and minimalistic verses that mesh with the personal nature of the album, but here, the keyboard parts are less orchestral and more for effects and melody. It's a solid track, and definitely one of the better late ones on "The Warinside", but Curt's backing vocals are barely audible, and the closing twinkle effects don't add a lot to the song.

Second-last is "A Drive Through The Peninsula", which itself begins with an intricate symphonic opening before Mike kicks in with vocals and drums, giving off a purposeful, march-like vibe musically. The song has effective vocals and intensity without going into full metal territory, but aside from Curtis' guest guitar work, the song doesn't stray from it's initial formula, and to me, it sounds unfinished, like there was a tempo change that never came. Not a bad track though, and Mike's multi-instrumenral talents are clear as day here! The CD closes with "30", which is the only song fully recorded in Sault Ste. Marie, and the only one that Curtis co-wrote (he also plays rhythm guitar here too, instead of just a solo), so this might be of extra note for fans of their Haggith band work! A slow building song that is arguably the heaviest on the album once it kicks into gear, "30" features interesting vocal effects, a strong aggressive edge in the second half, and nice casual playing early, while largely getting away from the earlier symphonics. Very strong closer to the album, and a fitting culmination to this personal tale, with a shock ending not unlike on Haggith's "Apocalypse" CD!

So, what are my thoughts of "The Warinside" I'd have to say that it's a strong statement and well layered release that definitely lays out events of Mike Haggith's personal life. Is it a coincidence that the song's orchestral and symphonic elements begin getting phased out in the second half? Mike is a talented musician on multiple instruments, and he shows that here once again, with his deep yet melodic singing voice fleshing out even more here, but the use of programmed drums (especially given his live drumming work with the band Haggith) still seems odd. Curtis McKenzie is a solid hand as a backing singer and guest guitarist on featured tracks, helping give a fuller band sound at times and definitely boosting things with his solos, but Din fans may miss drummer Brandan Glew on the studio recordings. Key songs like key songs like "30", "Someday", and "A Drive Through The Peninsula" help this album stand up with Mike's other recent studio releases, but it may surpass them based on it's overall story arc.

Also, I definitely saw similarities between this album and the Haggith band's concept release "Apocalypse" (which we reviewed last month, and also features Mike as the central character and main singer), especially in the mood shift, but "The Warinside" definitely strikes more for realism and emotion. Whether you like softer, heavier, or orchestral material, Mike covers all ground here, and it'll be interesting to see what he (and The Din?) have in store next! Buy Mike's new album at the above links (or at Rednecks THIS FRIDAY), and I hope you guys liked this month's CD review! Next month's review will be of a new release, and as of right now, we're leaning towards Dafter, Michigan hard rock musician SweetKenny's newest release "Fleabag Hotel", which was released in May, but wasn't past our 6 month anti-bias buffer period at the time. It's possible that another bigger album could supercede it if released, but we will let you know if a change is announced.

For reference, Haggith's new 2015 albums, Telephone & Address' upcoming "Monster" CD, and anything by Mike Haggith or Treble Charger are ineligible for July, as all are within our 6 month buffer period from our last reviews of theirs, but look for "Apocalypse II" and "Monster" (if released) in the fall if all goes well! That's all for today, but stay tuned for Canada Day concert previews and more TOMORROW! Thanks everyone!

Archaics/Pixo Control Concert Preview, A New CD Release, And Much More!!

Happy June, everyone! After taking Sunday off from most site activity due to my birthday, we're back in full force for the first of two posts today, and yes, our review of Saturday night's Jack Spades/Destroilet concert is coming later on today! Videos and photos from the show are already up on our Facebook page though. Today, we have assorted shorter updates, a new video, and a surprise new album release, but first, here's a special Monday night concert preview for TONIGHT!

The latest Six Two Oh (the former Oh! Right Arm Promotions) concert goes down TONIGHT, as local punk and alternative rock bands will open for Edmonton garage/blues rock quartet The Archaics at The New American Pub! Essentially a reprise of last July's Archaics-headlined show from the same promoters, fans of the headliners' entertaining hybrid originals and noticeable skill will be happy to see them back, even if they're not a "heavy" sounding band! An expanded local opening lineup from last year will see The Archaics joined by local alternative hard rock trio The Pixo Control and post-punk quartet Gnaeus both making their New American debuts tonight, while local all-female hard rock quartet The Danger Cats making what will be their last regular concert appearance tonight due to their impending breakup. Though fans can still see them at The Rankin Arena on June 13th during the Border Brawl roller derby event, consider coming out to see the girls one last regular time TONIGHT before it's too late!

This 19+ concert has a $5 cover charge, and everything will start at 10:00 PM. For more details, visit the official Facebook event page! This should be a fun concert, especially to check out the talented opening roster (you know how good The Pixo Control and Gnaeus are) and to send out The Danger Cats in style, while The Archaics' blues rock sound will be a great capper to the evening! See above for more info, and here's The Pixo Control live last year!

Next up, we have a new album release to take note of, as Haggith drummer Mike Haggith's 49th official solo CD "The Warinside" is officially now on sale via his Bandcamp page! Though the physical release will still take place on July 3rd at his release concert at The Rednecks Saloon, the digital download copy is now available on Bandcamp on a "name your price" model as of yesterday, which is a nice surprise bonus for the preceding month! Now that it's on sale, what should you know about it? Still alternately spelled as "The Warrenside" to reference the ongoing inside joke in the liner notes, the album details personal events in Mike's life from last year, and each song was written entirely by Mike save for "30", which was co-wrote by bandmate Curtis McKenzie, who also guest performs as a guitarist or backing vocalist on all but 4 songs. The album was mostly recorded at Galactic Records in Windsor save for "30", Curtis' parts and all vocals, which were done locally at PaperClip Productions.

The 10 song album will apparently cost $5 in physical formats, but on Bandcamp, you can pay any amount for it (including nothing, but support Mike and buy the album!) With the early release, we'll now tentatively confirm that "The Warinside" will be our next review subject at The Sault Metal Scene, so watch for that in the coming weeks, and pick up Mike Haggith's new solo album at the above links!

Also today, here's a comical new video from local/St. Catharine's grimecore trio Shit Liver, as posted to their YouTube channel on Friday! Entitled "How To Go On Tour", the video is a light-hearted (and fast-paced) look at what appears to be frontman Josh Penno, if I have the arm tattoos identified correctly, packing up gear & possessions for their tour. Amusing little video, but I was a little surprised that it didn't lead to a teaser of future concerts given the tour theme. Check it out below, and stay tuned for more!

Finally for today, here's three assorted shorter news items from the last while, and as usual, these are in alphabetical order by artist name:

  • Local rap/metal band The Apocalypse Afterparty have indicated on their Facebook page that they're "not dead", indicating that they've been busy writing an EP that will apparently come out "this year on a label you know and love" (perhaps confirming their earlier Tidal Records tease?) The band's also apparently training new members (note the plural: are they expanding, or do they need more than just a new drummer?), and are apparently writing a comic. Ambitious plans are afoot, so keep posted at this link!
  • Infamous/Deviant guitarist Damon King is apparently looking to join a local band, hyping himself as "an experienced rock/metal/blues/soul/alt guitarist who can do harmony." No word on if this means anything for the status of his existing bands, but he does have a lot of skill (as seen at the VM Radio Battle), so message him at this link or via his Musicians Wanted Facebook group post from yesterday for more info!
  • Regarding the apparent absence (or cancellation?) of recent Mourning Wood Thursday jam nights at The Rednecks Saloon, members Terry Eaton & Steven Flint's live sound company Twin City Entertainment apparently were in Blind River this past Thursday to do sound at a Garth Brooks tribute concert, which will have an encore presentation this Thursday as well (source here.) No word yet on whether this means the end or just a temporary break for Mourning Wood's jam nights, but we'll keep you posted!

That's all for today, but stay tuned for our review of Saturday night's Jack Spades/Destroilet concert later today! Thanks everyone!

A New Local Band, The Danger Cats' Future, And Mike Haggith Updates!!

Before we tackle weekend concert previews and our next CD review, let's touch on some news and notes from the Sault Ontario side of the border, including big updates on an upcoming album and release concert, and a popular local band's apparent final weeks, but first, here's a new local band you may recognize from some recent concert announcements!

Remember Id Iota, the new band debuting at The Algonquin Pub next Friday? Well, they finally have a Facebook page, so we can tell you more about them! Their lineup features ex-Free Beer frontman Christian Lemay (of Shaw TV fame) and guitarist Dustin Goodall alongside bassist Justin Girardi (who I couldn't find recent band credits for) and ex-Dirty Few drummer Blair St. John. You may recognize all but Justin from the band Habitat Shuffle, who released an EP last year alongside fellow Free Beer alum Ryan Gray, but they never played live, and judging by the quiet deletion of their Facebook page, that project is presumably now defunct. There's no clear indications yet of Id Iota's sound, but for what it's worth, Habitat Shuffle played more of an alternative rock sound than Free Beer's old ska-punk material, but if they skew close to either, they'll fit the SMS well!

Recently seen recording material at Tidal Records' own Mission Control Studios, Id Iota will join fellow debuting local band Caroline Divine (more info forthcoming) at both next Friday's Gonqshow event and at the next day's Lopstock II at LopLops Lounge, as they're the last and newest announced band, and are in the opening 1:00 PM timeslot (source here.) It's great to see Id Iota getting a quick start to the concert game where Habitat Shuffle didn't, so stay tuned for more on them as it rolls in, and they're now in our band links, with their predecessors moved to our inactive links, albeit under their Bandcamp page now!

Next up, it looks like local all-female hard rock/punk quartet The Danger Cats are disbanding in the near future. As per a post on their Facebook page on Monday, the girls revealed that their set at the Archaics-headlined concert at The New American Pub this coming Monday will be our "last chance to see a full set" from them, even referring to it as their "last hurrah", though they are still playing halftime mini-sets at the Border Brawl roller derby event on June 13th. Though not stated there, the breakup is at least partially due to frontwoman Kate Kougar's upcoming move to London, and they'll presumably be removed from the lineup of October's Dusty Tucker concert at The Rednecks Saloon as well. I was hopeful that The Danger Cats would stay active in some form after Kate's move, but they've had a good run that's seen them get lots of positive attention and quickly rise in the local scene since their 2013 debut!

Hopefully everyone stays active in music after next month's shows, and best of luck to Kate, Paula, Jamie, Katie, and Summer in whatever comes next, but they're not done yet, so make sure to see the girls before it's too late on Monday and on June 13th!

Finally for this post, we'll touch on some recent updates relating to prolific local hard rock musician Mike Haggith including the latest on his upcoming studio album "The Warinside" and it's release party on Friday, July 3rd at The Rednecks Saloon, so what should you know? In terms of the release show's lineup, local solo musician Micheal Husband is the surprise final opener for the show, and he'll kick off the night's events at 9:30 PM. He is credited as among the PaperClip Productions artist roster, and he's apparently a singer/guitarist, but we don't know much about him at this point. This should be a good showcase for him though! Instead of the announced three opening bands, there will only be two (Micheal and jazz rockers The Wild Iris), as headliners Mike Haggith & The Din will instead play two sets: one of them playing "The Warinside" from start to finish, and the other of extra originals and covers, not unlike what The Bear Hunters did in November.

Also, spellings of the album's name as "The Warrenside" are frequent on Facebook, but that is reportedly just an inside joke that is explained in the album booklet, and the CD's title's spelling is officially still "The Warinside". Ticket prices have also been announced, and they'll be $5 in advance, $7 at the door, or $10 for admission + a CD upon entry, though details on ticket availability will be announced in the near future. This is by far the biggest launch ever given to a Mike Haggith solo album, and everything sounds like it's shaping up well, so keep everything in mind for July 3rd, and see the above links for more details! As for "The Warinside" itself, Mike has uploaded final copies of the remaining songs from the album ("Out Of My League", "30", and as embedded below, "Someday") onto his YouTube channel, complete with a full playlist of the full album to boot! For reference, Mike's Haggith/Din bandmate Curtis McKenzie assists in the production on all 3 songs, and guest performs on all but "Someday".

We won't review these songs here yet, as we plan to review "The Warinside" in full this summer (likely in July after the release show), but check out the new songs and full streaming copy of the album above and below, and for you Haggith fans, look for our review of "Apocalypse" by week's end!

That's all for now, but stay tuned for our Haggith CD review, weekend concert previews, and more in the coming days! Thanks everyone!

LOCAL CONCERT ALERTS (The Bear Hunters, Mike Haggith & The Din, And Havadder) & More Concert Previews!!

We have a lot of news to come on the site, and we'll touch on some of that with today's post, including the last of this weekend's concert previews (late notice announcements aside) and some LOCAL CONCERT ALERTS from TONIGHT through July, so here's what you should know!

Local classic/hard rock quartet Havadder will return to The Rednecks Saloon TONIGHT for one night only! Apologies for the short notice, this show was only announced via it's Facebook event page yesterday. Keeping their recent steady string of concerts going, this will be their first show at the former Nicolet Tavern in two weeks, though it's not stated whether a separate booking or the band's own commitments are why they're not playing on Saturday. Fans of Jugga and company should be up for another night of hard hitting covers and classic favourites, so despite the short notice, keep TONIGHT'S show in mind! Like usual for Havadder's Rednecks shows, there is no announced cover charge, you must be 19 to attend, and there is a 10:00 PM start time in effect. For more details, check the above links, and here's Havadder live last year!

Moving to some other new show announcements, a diverse lineup of bands will hit The Canadian Nightclub on Saturday, June 6th, with local hard rock and metal bands opening for Sudbury blues rock quartet Patrick Wright et les Gauchistes! As the name implies, they are indeed a Francophone band whose songs are all in French, which is something we don't see often in the Soo. Though not "heavy", their blues and folk rock originals show clear talent and maturity, so give them a listen! The openers will include local death metal veterans The Bear Hunters, hard rock quartet Haggith, death/grind trio Them (in their Canadian debut) and possibly local funk/hard rock quartet The Elements, though their involvment is tentative as of this writing. Very wide-ranging show with no bands really sounding alike, but maybe that was the intention, and this way, there's a little something for everyone!

Promoted by Haggith bassist Jordan Leach and sponsored by Paperclip Productions, this show (labelled "Rock in Steel Town") has tickets for $5 in advance (details forthcoming), while the price jumps to $8 at the door. An 8:00 PM start time is advertised, and oddly for a Canadian Nightclub concert, it will be 19+. For more details on this diverse concert in three weeks, visit the official Facebook event page, and stay tuned for updates!

Staying close to the Haggith camp, drummer Mike Haggith will officially launch his newest solo album "The Warinside" with a full CD release concert on Friday, July 3rd at The Rednecks Saloon! The first time that one of Mike's solo albums has ever recieved a full CD release party, the show will be headlined by Mike's side project band Mike Haggith & The Din, who will definitely play songs from the album (also spelled "The Warrenside" on some postings), and yes, it will be on sale for just $5 that night! 3 more local opening bands are being sought, and though there is interest from the band Haggith, a yet-to-debut Mitch Sirie project, and Faceityoureametalband (looks like they're not a one-off!), no one else has been confirmed yet as of this writing. Promoted by the aforementioned Mitch Sirie, this 19+ show has a 10:00 PM start time and no announced cover charge.

For more details, visit the official Facebook event page! Whether I'm able to go or not, it looks like we know our likely CD review for July on the SMS, and kudos to Mike on what will be his biggest solo album launch yet! He's came a long way since moving here, and hopefully there's a great turnout on July 3rd! Stream the whole album at this link, and stay tuned as updates roll in!

Finally for today, here's our last known hard rock concert previews for the weekend (barring some even later-notice announcements), as Kinross, Michigan hard rock trio Banned will return to the stage TONIGHT & TOMORROW NIGHT at The Northern Pines Lounge at the St. Ignace Kewadin Casino! Last seen in Drummond Island on April 18th, these shows will be Banned's first within an hour of the Soo in well over a month, and their first in St. Ignace in four months, so if you've missed Banned, keep this weekend's shows in mind to get your fill of Alex, Don, and Wayne's fun and often heavy covers and originals! Like usual for their Kewadin shows, there are 9:00 PM start times in effect, no announced cover charges, and 21+ age limits. For more details, visit the above links! It's great to see Banned staying active, so don't miss them this weekend, and here's Banned live last year!

That's all for today, but stay tuned for a new news post tomorrow! Thanks everyone!

VM Radio's Pilot Stream Info, Plus More Recent Updates!!

With a new week in full swing, there's news and notes to touch on now that we're fully out of the Halloween weekend, and hopefully everyone had a fun time seeing The Brains last night! Today, we have plenty of assorted recent updates, and first, your first chance to sample a new network of regional radio stations, so here's what you need to know!

SooToday parent company Village Media's new digital radio network VM Radio is now in it's pre-launch pilot phase, so we can now check out samples of each! Though originally planned for a September debut with 3 stations, it's better late than never, especially as there's actually 5 feeds, so what's available to check out? SMS readers will likely be most interested in VM Rocks, whose description says will feature modern rock, alternative, metal, and classic rock, citing bands like Gob, Seether, The Black Keys, and locals Garden of Bedlam & Jack Spades among it's playlist, so click above to hear the current stream! The other four stations include the previously announced VM Roots (for folk, roots, and blues rock), and in lieu of the originally hyped "Mix" station, VM Bounce (for hip-hop, dance, and club music), VM Indie (for indie, pop, and electronic music), and VM Y'All (for country music.) All streams are available to check out right now with less commercials than on terrestrial radio, but a full launch involving news and weather broadcasts is expected for later this week.

The idea of a full new network of local internet radio stations is a sound one, especially as Sault Ontario only has Country 104 and Kiss 105 for locally produced FM stations (and even with Sault Michigan stations, there aren't any FM indie or roots stations here.) Also, with Energy Rock Radio moving out west a few years ago, it's nice to have a full local internet radio presence based out of here again! For my own experience checking out the pilot streams of the stations, I've had no problems with the audio quality or speed of the playback, though the player's own page is very plain looking. For potential listeners of VM Rocks, today's rotation included artists like Big Wreck, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Steely Dan, Crash Karma, and ZZ Top, so it will cover a wide gamut of rock genres, with lots of Canadian content! That said, plans for potential programs or genre blocks with live DJs haven't been publicized yet, so I can't say with certainty if metal or punk fans will get a dedicated show on VM Rocks, but it'd be cool to see!

I'm very curious to see where VM Radio (and VM Rocks) go from here, including on if there will be other ways you can listen (i.e. through TuneIn Radio), so stay tuned for more updates on the full launch as they are made, be sure to check out all of the stations at the above links, and VM Rocks is now in our Sault Ontario internet radio/podcast links!

Finally for today, here's _ shorter assorted recent news items from the last few days, and as usual, these are in alphabetical order by artist, website, or company name:

  • Local concert promoters Oh! Right Arm! Promotions have launched a sister promotional company named GFC Promotions that will specialize in shows outside of Sault Ste. Marie, specifically in Garden River like next August's Das Bunkerfest II, related private house parties, and perhaps future attempts at Echo Bay concerts? No word what "GFC" stands for, but like them above, and GFC Promotions are now in our "Other Local Metal Links"!
  • In his latest local band search posting on the Musicians Wanted Facebook group on October 30th, local bassist Jordan Leach is now looking for a singer, guitarist(s), and drummer for a horror punk band he's launching, though "other interesting instruments" are also welcome. The band would mostly play originals with some covers. With Frigtlight's demise, there is a horror punk void now, so hopefully this takes off, and message Jordan at this link or above for more details!
  • On his solo Facebook page on October 15th, Haggith drummer Mike Haggith revealed the tentative setlist for his upcoming 49th studio album "The Warinside", and while most of the 10 songs are new, the CD will apparently include a re-recording of his 2009 song "Lay My Body Down To Rest" (which Mike and The Din have played live recently.) Intriguing titles, so stay tuned for updates on this and his other upcoming solo plans!
  • Though not a formal review of the show, a new SooToday article from Donna Hopper on Halloween costumes and parties in the Soo from this past Friday does feature photos of Frightlight's headlining set at The Algonquin Pub during frontman Johnny Pints' annual Halloween party (in colour too!), and they're excellent as usual, so click here to see them and all of the great costumes from Halloween 2014 at four different downtown bars!
  • In the first finite info regarding this year's third annual Toystock fundraiser concert, promoters Maxx Entertainment revealed on their Facebook page yesterday that the event is still slated for Sunday, November 30th at The Canadian Nightclub, will feature 10 live bands once again for a roughly 10 hour duration, admission will be via a toy or food donation (money is accepted too), while the band lineup will be revealed shortly. Great to see Toystock back once again, and stay tuned for confirmation of this year's bands!
  • Sault Band-O-Rama promoters, Mourning Wood bandmates, and local metal band alums Terry Eaton & Steven Flint have launched a new live event sound company named Twin City Sound that are available to book for various types of events, presumably including concerts (like Sault Band-O-Rama at the Primavera Hall on November 21st.) Though the "Twin City" name implies that they'll cover Sault Michigan too, nothing is explicitly stated regarding cross-border bookings. This should be interesting, and Twin City Sound are now in our "Other" links section!

That's all for today, but stay tuned for more news and updates as November rolls along! Thanks everyone!
