Traverse City, Michigan classic metal trio Peril will play their first E.U.P. dates of 2024 when they return to The Rapids Lounge at the Sault Ste. Marie Kewadin Casino TOMORROW & SATURDAY NIGHT! Apologies for the short notice, these dates only came to our attention via Kewadin's entertainment page this week, and Peril themselves have not confirmed the gigs on their Facebook page at press time. Assuming they are on as advertised by the venue, these will be Peril's first local dates since rocking the St. Ignace Kewadin almost three months ago, and their first at the Soo Kewadin branch in almost four months. It's always good to see Jeff, Adam, and Brooks back in our area, and hopefully their classic and hard rock covers find another solid audience TOMORROW & SATURDAY! Expect 9:00 PM start times, 21+ age limits, and no cover. See above for more details, and here's Peril live!
Next up, local classic/hard rock cover quartet Soundcheck will return to Reggie's Place for one night only TOMORROW NIGHT! Again, apologies for the short notice, this show was only announced on the venue's Facebook page yesterday, and while the band has yet to confirm the date publically, drummer Glen Thomas confirmed it on his personal Facebook page. While technically their second live performance of 2024 (following their first jam night hosting duties at Jay's of the year tonight), TOMORROW'S concert will be Soundcheck's first traditionally structured concert of the year, and second of the week at Reggie's after playing at their New Year's Eve party on Sunday. Good to see Soundcheck entering a new year by hitting the ground running, and look for more hard rocking classic covers from them TOMORROW! This is a one nighter due to Soundcheck taking a private booking on Saturday, as per Glen's personal posting above. We'll address who's playing at Reggie's that night at post's end, but Soundcheck's gig TOMORROW NIGHT has a 9:00 PM start time, 19+ age limit, and no cover charge. Visit the above links for more details, and for a preview, here's Soundcheck live!
Also this weekend, local southern hard rock cover trio Bone Yard will have two shows in two nights, both unplugged (or as they've taken to calling them, "uncorked"), starting with a concert TOMORROW NIGHT at The Water Tower Pub followed by their return to Gateway Casino on SATURDAY NIGHT! Apologies again for the short notice, both gigs only came to our attention via this January concert calendar on Bone Yard's Facebook page on Wednesday. While we're on the subject, they announced three more (presumably electric) gigs for later this month, which will see Greg, Alex, and Warren return to the aforementioned Reggie's Place next Friday and Saturday (January 12th & 13th), before returning to Shooters Downstairs Lounge for one night only on Friday, January 20th (the DJ experiment on Saturdays there must be continuing into the new year). Keep all of these dates in mind for Bone Yard's hard rocking cover slate! No word yet on if Bone Yard are playing anywhere on the 21st, 26th, and/or 27th or not. These 19+ dates with no cover charge mostly begin at 9:00 PM, though TOMORROW'S Water Tower Pub show begins at 8:00 PM, and remember that The Water Tower Pub traditionally hosts different bands each night, and Gateway Casino only usually books bands on Saturdays, hence the split bill. Visit the above links for more details, and for a preview, here's Bone Yard live and "uncorked"!
That's all for today, but stay tuned for more news and notes in the site tomorrow! Thanks everyone!
