HUGE (and overdue) LOCAL CONCERT ALERT!!!, and more!

I can't fucking believe I didn't notice this earlier, and my complete apologies for missing it for so long, but I have a HUGE LOCAL CONCERT ALERT!!!

On April 28th at The Dreammakers Theater at Kewadin Casino, multi-platinum hard rockers Staind are returning to Sault Ste. Marie! Best known for songs like "It's Been Awhile", "So Far Away", and "Outside", they will be supported on this show by modern rockers Hoobastank (not really metal, but I'm sure they have some fans around here). Tickets are $42.50, and they can be purchased at 1-800-539-2346 (KEWADIN), or you can purchase tickets online at this location!

You may remember when Staind last came to Kewadin, in September of 2006, when they came here with Black Stone Cherry! Sadly, no one has any clips from the show on Youtube, but Staind are a popular and talented band, and should put on a great show! If you went to their 2006 show here, or have any comments, feel free to tell us!

Now, my late notice of this show is proof that I'm not perfect. Sometimes can't do everything alone. So if you come across a concert, band, news item, page, or anything locally metal related that I don't mention here, please let me know! You'll get full credit, trust me!

While we're on the topic of big bands at Kewadin Casino, SooToday posted an article about the Skid Row/FireHouse concert on Thursday at this location! It features some photos taken from the concert, and a video of FireHouse drummer Michael Foster performing a drum solo during a break to fix some technical issues. Hopefully the show went well regardless, if I find anything else from it, I'll post it here! But for now, here's Michael Foster's drum solo!

Next up, what looks like a concert cancellation. On March 21st, Montreal based Christian hardcore band Breaking The Fourth Wall were scheduled to play at The Oddfellows Hall with Deadwalk, Upheaval of an Exorcist, and local punk band Good Morning Gorillas. Well, the Facebook event page has been removed from Facebook. Now, BTFW, DeadWalk, and UOAE all still list the show on the concert listings on their respective MySpaces, but from some internet searching, I see no real indication that the concert is on still, so I deleted it from the concert listings. BUT, if I'm wrong, please TELL ME!!!

Now, a minor note on the Cattle Decapitation concert scheduled for April 12th: The previously announced $20 ticket price now is just for advance tickets only. If you buy your ticket at the door, the price rises to...$25. Yeah, I know it's steep, and you're probably not happy about it, but as I've mentioned a few days ago, Cattle Decapitation in particular are pretty big as far as death/grind bands go, so the price is more appropriate than it would be at a show featuring just locals. So don't think too harshly about the price, OK? And, as you can see to your left, the official poster for the show was released! Not bad, huh?

And finally, here's the official poster for the May 28th concert featuring The Fitzpatrick Incident and many other bands! Also looks very nice too! Hopefully both these shows go well!

That's all for tonight! Remember to keep your browsers pointed here, as this is the only site on the internet devoted solely to metal bands and concerts in the Sault Ste. Marie area, and you guys are the reason The Sault Metal Scene still exists to this day! Have a good one!
