LOCAL CONCERT ALERTS (Project 906 & Peril), Crush Updates, And More News & Notes!!

Here's a new news post to check out on this Friday evening, and it's mostly focused on Michigan and the Eastern Upper Peninsula, so here's what you should know, starting with LOCAL CONCERT ALERTS!

Traverse City classic metal trio Peril will return to The Rapids Lounge at the Sault Michigan Kewadin Casino for the presumed final times on Friday and Saturday, October 9th & 10th! The shows were quietly announced via Kewadin's entertainment page this month, and these could be the last heavier-leaning concerts before the casino begins their massive renovations to The Rapids Lounge, with a new sports bar scheduled to open on/near that location next year. It's not a long weekend for Yoopers then, but if you want to rock out with a Jeff Hudson band one more time at The Rapids Lounge as we know it, keep things in mind for in two weeks! Next month's shows are 21+ affairs with no announced cover charges and 9:00 PM start times. If you're curious, Kewadin lists Rapids Lounge bookings through at least Halloween (soul/R&B cover band NuCorp), but is that it? We'll let you know when more details are announced!

Next up, let's head over to Rudyard, where local blues/hard rock cover quintet Project 906 will return to Huck's Pub & Grill as the headliners of their Halloween party on Saturday, October 31st! The #summerof906 ended quietly with no publically announced shows (or updates in general) since their set at the Barge Bash in Cedarville early last month, but this will be their first show at Huck's since the Summerfest weekend in July. Halloween is always a key date for bands to get, and Project 906 also got the honours last year (when October 31st was a Friday), so why not get another expertly timed return booking? Along with the usual spooky frills for Halloween night, and Project 906's established and fan favourite hard rock covers, there will be a costume contest, with yet-to-be-announced prizes going to the best overall, funniest, and best couples' costumes, similarly to last year's party.

Billy, Joe, Dustin, Jason, and Brian will take the stage at 8:00 PM on Halloween, this will have a 21+ age limit, and there is no announced cover charge. Where Project 906 have been lately, I don't know, but we at least have a date ahead, and on a fitting weekend in many respects, so visit the above links for more details on the spooktacular night ahead! 

Also today, here's a few updates from local hard rock trio Crush's Facebook page! As you may recall, Crush (who play out of town gigs more frequently than their sister band Tarnished) hit the road for Gould City yesterday to open for Tribe989 at Bates Corner Bar & Grill. The guys were hyping this up like it was a local gig, and for some readers, it will have been, as Gould City is a 90 minute drive west of the Soo, which is a half hour past our coverage range. Towns like Paradise, Newberry, and Gould City are beyond the one hour mark from Sault Ste. Marie, hence why we don't cover anything in those towns full bore, but they do put on some big events at Bates Corner, and yesterday's show was outdoors, even! You may recall seeing this outdoor stage with the eight poles on each side in past Tarnished and Crush media. Hopefully the concert (also featuring Hannahville metal band Ghidora) was a hit all around!

To plug the impending concert, bassist Isaac Royer (a.k.a. "Igman" here) filmed this vertical video of him, Alex, and Josh en route to Gould City, but they were running "way late" as of 5:50 PM due to construction en route. I can't tell where they exactly were when Iggy was filming, but hopefully they made it in time for the regular soundcheck, and they still plugged the show as best they could! Give the video a watch below, and hopefully we see Crush within an hour of the Soo before too long!

Finally for today, here's three assorted shorter news items (including some from Sault Ontario!) from the last little while, and as usual, these are in alphabetical order by artist or venue name:

 

• Sault Ontario hard rock/metal trio The BAG will headline a private concert on Friday, October 30th! The Devil's Night show will be held "at Dirtbag's" (message performers if you want to know where that is, let alone who Dirtbag is), and will feature The BAG's first announced concert set in over four months, alongside Hails, ASDP, and With Gunfire. While the show will have "pay what you can" admission, we historically don't cover private or house party concerts with no public address unless it's a repeat named location like Unnecessary Noise. It does sound like fun though, so visit the above links if you want to inquire further!
• A devastating fire caused severe damage at Snow's Bar & Grill in Cedarville, Michigan on September 9th, as covered in this St. Ignace News article by Erich Doerr, featuring photos of the bar during the blaze and after it was put out. Needless to say, Snow's as we know it was destroyed, and it's way too soon to know what the next steps are there, but owner Amy Salter confirmed on their Facebook page that they have insurance, and that process is ongoing. Snow's was sporadically featured here from hosting hard rock cover band concerts, most recently the aforementioned Project 906 in February. Our best wishes go out to Amy and her family and staff at this time!
• New Sault Ontario hard rock/blues trio Stones & Crows had special guests for their concert at Beck's Bar on August 27th, as per photos from the show on their Facebook page. Big Finish Band/Drifters drummer Brandan Glew took Tony's spot behind the drumkit for at least one song, while someone only credited as "Bongo Boy" joined in for at least that same song with Brandan, and you can guess what he was playing. Fun to see some guests like this, and we'll let you know when Stones & Crows announce their first fall date!

LOCAL CONCERT ALERTS (Scarkazm, Fyrbird, Exit 808, And Unfortunate Sun), Plus More Weekend Concert Previews!!

Today's conclusion of this weekend's known hard rock concert previews ended up being an all-Sault Michigan/E.U.P. post chock full of LOCAL CONCERT ALERTS, one on SHORT NOTICE but also extending into early 2025. Here's what you should know!

Local hard rock band Exit 808 will make their debut at Huck's Pub & Grill in nearby Rudyard TOMORROW NIGHT! Apologies for the short notice, this show was only announced on the band's Facebook page on Tuesday. Indeed, this will surprisingly be their first show at the former Joe's Bar, but given their talents and wide spread since debuting, Exit 808 should attract a strong audience TOMORROW! Note that recent fill-in guitarist Bob Libick is tagged in posts about TOMORROW's show, but no bassists (neither Myke nor Blaze) are, let alone co-vocalist Amy Beach, so read into that however you like. Meanwhile, Kewadin Casino has announced shows through February 1st on their website's entertainment pages, and there are a few hard rock names to take note of, including their return to The Rapids Lounge at the Sault Ste. Marie Kewadin Casino on Friday, January 17th & Saturday, January 18th! These will be their first stops at the Soo Kewadin since August.

TOMORROW'S Huck's show takes place at 8:00 PM, the Kewadin shows next month are at 9:00 PM, and the three dates are all 21+ with no announced cover charges. Visit the above links for more details, and for a preview, here's a brand new video of Exit 808 live at the 2 Wheel Tavern in Wolverine two weeks ago! Uploaded to their Facebook page on Saturday, this extremely vertical video sees the band (plus Bob and Blaze, minus Amy and Alex) covering Godsmack's "Bad Religion", and it's a strong showcase of Dillion Semasky's aggressive but melodic vocals! The orientation is really unfortunate, but check this out below, and don't miss Exit 808 TOMORROW!

Next up, there are more Kewadin Casino dates in the pipeline courtesy of their entertainment pages, and first up in the Soo is Manistique hard rock duo Fyrbird, who will kick off 2025 with dates at The Rapids Lounge at the Sault Ste. Marie Kewadin Casino on Friday, January 3rd & Saturday, January 4th! Fyrbird are one to announce months worth of bookings at a time in a post on their Facebook group, but at press time, they have yet to do so. While fans saw Jamie & Rikk rock out at the St. Ignace branch last month, these will be Fyrbird's first Soo dates since October. and it will be good to get their gritty and hard rocking cover slate back in the Eastern Upper Peninsula in a few weeks' time! These shows are 9:00 PM affairs with 21+ age limits and no cover charges. Visit the above links for more details on Fyrbird's regional return early next year, and stay tuned for more from them!

Also, Traverse City metal trio Scarkazm have announced their first 2025 concert dates via Facebook event pages on their Facebook page, so after their shows at the Soo Kewadin tonight and tomorrow night, when will you be able to see them in the E.U.P. next? Their first shows in our coverage area next year will see them rock The Northern Pines Lounge at the St. Ignace Kewadin on Friday, January 3rd and Saturday, January 4th, so if you wanna start the year on the right foot in Mackinac County, Scarkazm's hard rocking and crowd-friendly covers would be a good place to start! On February 7th & 8th, you can see Adam, Dave, and Jeff back at The Rapids Lounge for the first time in 2025, so fans in the Soo who can't see them this weekend or want an encore will be able to see them in almost two months! The last new shows currently confirmed for Scarkazm will see them back at The Rapids Lounge on April 4th & 5th.

All six of Scarkazm's known upcoming Kewadin dates have 21+ age limits, no cover charges, and 9:00 PM start times. It's great to see Scarkazm continue their long run of road trips to the E.U.P. in 2025, and definitely consider seeing them at these dates and beyond! Finally for today's post, here's one more weekend concert preview for TOMORROW NIGHT, as local hard rock quartet Unfortunate Sun will rock The Merchant's Bar for one night only! Last seen at The Merch back in September, this is (presently?) the Fake Chow successors' final show of 2024, and while it has been promoted as "the biggest asskickery event" of the year, more recent promotion indicates that tomorrow's concert will also have an attached ugly Christmas sweater party, so wear your best (worst?) for the occasion! No word on a possible contest or prizes. Meanwhile, Unfortunate Sun have a new show of their own to announce, as they'll debut at Snow's Bar & Grill in nearby Cedarville for one night only on Saturday, January 18th! It's too soon for Snowsfest, so this looks like a standard concert for Unfortunate Sun, so try to welcome-ish them to a new locale next month!

Tomorrow's and next month's Unfortunate Sun dates have presumed 9:00 PM start times, no announced cover charges, and 21+ age limits. It's good to see Skip, Jody, Tony, and Jason staying busy over the winter, so don't miss them at The Merch tomorrow and at more venues next month, and for a preview, here they are live!

LOCAL CONCERT ALERTS (Fyrbird, Bone Yard, And The Nameless) & Weekend Concert Previews!!

Another busy concert weekend is upon us, so we're breaking up our previews into two posts again. As such, the previously announced Silent 9 and Tym Morrison shows will be covered in our next post hitting the site by tomorrow morning, so don't worry, they are coming! Now, here's what you should know to start the weekend, starting with LOCAL CONCERT ALERTS, some on SHORT NOTICE!

Local southern hard rock cover trio Bone Yard have announced their slate of upcoming concerts for this month, starting with their returns to Reggie's Place for concerts TOMORROW & SATURDAY NIGHT! Apologies for the short notice, those dates were only announced on both the band's and venue's ends earlier this week. After a two week break, TOMORROW & SATURDAY's Reggie's shows should be a fine way to rock out with Greg, Alex, and Warren's old school covers as usual, but if you can't make it or have a preferred venue elsewhere, they have options! Their next two shows after this weekend will both be one-nighters on consecutive Saturdays, both unplugged ("uncorked", if you prefer), when they rock Gateway Casino on February 17th and The Water Tower Pub on February 24th! As of this writing, they are not playing anywhere on either Friday. 

If you'd rather hear them plugged in (and/or in the west end), Bone Yard will kick off March with shows at The Esquire Club on March 1st & 2nd, which were previously announced by the venue. All of these shows are 19+ affairs with no announced cover charge, and aside from The Water Tower Pub (8:00 PM), all of these dates have start times of 9:00 or 9:30 PM. Next up, Manistique, Michigan hard rock duo Fyrbird will play their first concerts within an hour's drive of the Soo of the year when they return to The Northern Pines Lounge at the St. Ignace Kewadin Casino TOMORROW & SATURDAY NIGHT! Again, apologies for the short notice, these shows were a part of Kewadin's monthly schedule release on their entertainment page, but when I first noticed them, it was too late to cover them without redundantly plugging them twice in less than a week's span. While we're on the subject, fans in Sault Ste. Marie can also see Jamie & Rick rocking out at The Rapids Lounge at Kewadin's Soo branch on Friday, May 3rd & Saturday, May 4th, as per the band's early 2024 concert calendar shared by frontman Jamie Hider's wife Shannon on their Facebook group in October (for fans a little further out in the U.P., they'll also be playing concerts in Newberry, Paradise, Curtis, and Gould City).

It's great to see Fyrbird's minimalist hard rock attack back in our area this year, so don't miss their return to The Northern Pine(s) Lounge TOMORROW & SATURDAY if you're up for it! All four of their upcoming Kewadin dates have 9:00 PM start times, no cover charges, and 21+ age limits. See above for more details, and here's Fyrbird live!

Also this weekend, local hard rock cover quintet The Nameless will make their debut at Snow's Bar & Grill in nearby Cedarville on SATURDAY NIGHT! Apologies again for the short notice, the band only announced this show via their Facebook event page this past Friday, and I didn't see it quickly enough to talk about it before this week. Just their second concert outside of the Soo after last year's Sugar Island Music Festival (though at least The Nameless plugged SATURDAY's show on Facebook!), this concert takes place as part of the annual Les Cheneaux Islands Snowsfest, marking a third straight year where a Sault Ste. Marie hard rock band heads to Cedarville for the festivities (Tarnished and Project 906 played the last two years). Despite our mild winter, hopefully this year's Snowsfest is a huge hit, and that The Nameless' hard rocking covers find another receptive audience on SATURDAY NIGHT!

A one-nighter due to tomorrow's concert from Chicago blues group The Corey Dennison Band (that's also the night of the Snowfest pub crawl), this 21+ event has an 8:00 PM start time and no apparent cover charge. Given the locale, I don't believe that Snowsfest buttons are required for entry. We'll close things for this preview post with a pair of previously announced gigs in Sault Ontario, where local classic/hard rock cover quartet Generations will return to Jay's Piston Broke Pub for concerts TOMORROW & SATURDAY NIGHT! Last seen at Jay's three months ago, this will be Generations' second concert weekend of the year, and will see guitarist Tony Kajnar back in the fold after missing their Shooters gig last month. However, Generations will actually be subbing in for Soundcheck as hosts of the weekly jam night at Jay's tonight, so if you want a preview of things (albeit with guest musicians jamming with the band or playing on their own), keep that in mind! No word on why Soundcheck aren't hosting tonight, but you may recall seeing Bone Yard fill in for them last summer on weekends where they were booked at Jay's. Also, just a reminder that we don't cover jam/open mic nights as "concerts" due to their unpredictability by design.

Tomorrow & Saturday's concerts (and jam night tonight) have 9:30 PM start times, 19+ age limits, and no cover charges. Should be a good time for classic and hard rock fans, given this talented group featuring Jus' Chillin, Obsession, and Flat Stanley alumni, so don't miss out on the action at the former Rosie this weekend, and here's Generations live!

LOCAL CONCERT ALERTS (Peril & Tarnished), More Weekend Concert Previews, And More!!

Before we kick off this concert preview post, just another heads up on a show that we hadn't covered on the SMS, this time one that did occur and was missed for coverage, as local acoustic punk solo project Slumshine returned to the stage for this year's Fringe North Festival last night. We did cover Brent's show at this diverse local arts festival last year (also Slumshine's last publically acknowledged gig before yesterday), but somehow, this year's Fringe North completely slipped us by, not helped by Slumshine proper never promoting their set on social media. Like last year, Slumshine was the only SMS-amenable musical act to perform at Fringe North, which returned to the Sault Ste. Marie Museum for a second straight year, albeit with far fewer pandemic restrictions. Slumshine's set was on "Gallery Stage 2", which appears to mean the second floor of the museum (acts were booked on three floors plus outside).

Incidentally, the above image shared to Fringe North's Facebook page details a little more about Slumshine's raison d'etre, including an apparent explanation as to Brent's pink knit ski mask (representing how recovering addicts may seem faceless to others). I profusely apologize for missing Slumshine's return at Fringe North, I really should have known to double check the lineup for this year, but hopefully Brent had a great show last night, and consider seeing the rest of Fringe North for a diverse and accessible array of local art from a very talented roster! I wish Brent updated Slumshine (and Ha!ls) on their proper social media pages though, as Slumshine haven't posted on Facebook since 2021.

Now let's continue covering this weekend's known hard rock concerts by heading to Michigan for some Eastern Upper Peninsula gigs, starting with a SHORT NOTICE LOCAL CONCERT ALERT, as local metal/hard rock band Tarnished will return to Snow's Bar & Grill in nearby Cedarville TONIGHT! I apologize for the short notice, the band only announced this gig via their Facebook page yesterday. Like their previously announced show at Huck's Pub & Grill in nearby Rudyard TOMORROW NIGHT, the Cedarville date will be on an outdoor stage, weather permitting, so it'll be neat seeing Tarnished rock out outside at both locales, with tomorrow's Huck's show being their first gig there in over a year! Due to the surprise departures of guitarist Nathan Webber and bassist Isaac Royer earlier this week, Tarnished have called in some familiar ringers to fill in for these dates.

The Nameless bassist Mike East will play both nights, while Rhythm & Brews guitarist Chris Hubbard will be on hand tomorrow only. Very solid names to be sure, and even if this remains a temporary arrangement, fans will want to note these stacked lineups TONIGHT and tomorrow! TONIGHT'S Snow's gig in Cedarville has an early 6:00 PM start time, tomorrow's Huck's date in Rudyard is at 9:00 PM, and both are 21+ events with no cover charge. Weather-wise, 9&10 News is calling for clear conditions in Cedarville tonight at around 17°, while Rudyard tomorrow night will be a little warmer at 19°, but partly cloudy. Also this weekend, fans can see Traverse City classic metal trio Peril return to The Northern Pines Lounge at the St. Ignace Kewadin Casino for previously announced shows TONIGHT & TOMORROW NIGHT! Last seen at this Kewadin branch in June, it'll be great for Mackinac County fans to get another weekend chock full of old school metal and hard rock covers from this fan favourite trio, so don't miss out on Jeff & crew this weekend! In one more new show announcement, Peril will make a very rare appearance in the E.U.P. outside of the Kewadin umbrella on Thursday, August 31st when they headline at the gazebo at American Legion Memorial Park in St. Ignace, as part of the town's Music By The Bay summer concert series! Click here for the full schedule, which has seen live music daily throughout July and August, ending over Labour Day weekend. Peril are the only heavier-leaning act, but familiar faces abound on the schedule.

It will be great seeing Peril in a new-ish venue north of the Mackinac Bridge, so if you can swing a Thursday evening outdoor show, you know where to be at month's end! We'll close today by heading back to Sault Ontario for a new live concert video from local southern hard rock trio Bone Yard's jam night hosting duties at Jay's Piston Broke Pub last night! Uploaded to the band's Facebook page early this morning, the video sees Bone Yard covering Ozzy Osbourne's "Crazy Train" alongside guest singer Darrel Ford, one of many guests who joined Bone Yard in various permutations during this jam night (among them: Soundcheck drummer Glen Thomas, who usually plays these jam nights). Shockingly, this video was shot horizontally (thumbs up from me there!), and Darrel handles himself well on vocals, so hopefully a fun time was had by all! LOCAL CONCERT ALERT (Generations), The Project 906 Concert Preview, And More!!

Let's wrap up this weekend's hard rock concert previews in today's second post, including a SHORT NOTICE LOCAL CONCERT ALERT, with some big recent updates from a prominent local band to round things out. Here's what you should know!

Local classic/hard rock cover quartet Generations will play at Jay's Piston Broke Pub for one night only TONIGHT! Apologies for the short notice, this show was only announced on their Facebook group on Monday. A one-nighter due to their focusing on their Rotaryfest Stage 1 debut tomorrow night, TONIGHT's show should be a solid way to check out Valerie, Brandon, Pierre, and Tony's classic and hard rock covers, whether you'd prefer being in the west end, don't want to risk any rain that may come tomorrow, or just don't want the hustle and bustle of a summer festival. Hopefully things go swimmingly TONIGHT for Generations at the former Reggie's West, but if you are planning on seeing them tomorrow regardless, their Clergue Park set begins at 6:15 PM. TONIGHT'S show at Jay's has a 9:30 PM start time, no cover, and a 19+ age limit. See above for more details, and here's Generations live earlier this year!

Next up, let's finish off this weekend's known hard rock concert previews by heading to Cedarville, Michigan, where Sault Ste. Marie blues/hard rock quartet Project 906 will take the stage at Snow's Bar & Grill for one night only TOMORROW NIGHT! A month+ removed from their last stop at the same venue, this will be their first Snow's booking with new drummer Jason VanLuven, who was double booked with Fake Chow last month, leading to Brian Duford filling in for that gig. 906's modern hard rock covers should find another solid audience 40 minutes due south of the Soo, so don't miss out on all of the action tomorrow night! A one-nighter due to or resulting in TONIGHT'S late notice Tarnished show, Project 906 are on tomorrow at 8:00 PM with no cover charge and a 21+ age limit. Now let's head back north to Sault Ontario for topics that have nothing directly to do with local concerts this weekend, specifically the latest from local/Barrie crossover thrash quintet Spades GT! First, yet another "Reel" was uploaded to their Facebook page on Sunday featuring a clip of them playing their newer original "Red" in Oshawa last month, and as is always the case for "Reels" of theirs, I really wish that they'd upload the full video as a normal video, not a vertical, abbreviated, and unembeddable thing. It looks and sounds good while it lasts! Second guitarist Jay Sarrazin is not visible in either the Oshawa "Reel" or the band's official pictures from their belated album release party in Barrie on Sunday, but again, don't read anything too drastic into that, as he's a busy guy with at least three concurrent active bands on the go right now (two of which he's bringing to The Northern Vibe Festival in Ophir next month!)

Attendee Steve Tait filmed Spades GT playing "Succubus" on Sunday for a minute-long and square-dimensioned video posted in the comments of their pictures from that gig, but I can't find a way to embed it here. Not a bad video overall! Their newest announced show will see them open for Random Killing in another far flung hardcore homecoming, this time in Toronto at The Bovine Sex Club (yes, that is still its actual name) on Saturday, September 23rd, so keep that in mind if you'll happen to be in the area in two months! Long-time readers may recall seeing local bands like Lion Ride and Detroit playing at The Bovine over a decade ago. Of course, all of this is burying the lead a bit, as the former Jack Spades finally released their music video for "Final Girl", the lead single of "Sewer City Radio" on Monday (a day later than planned), so what should you know about the final product?

Posted to their YouTube channel, this was directed by the Soo's own Josh Penno (pictured with the band above) via his company Spacebag Productions, and true to the teasers, the plot of the video sees a titular "final girl" (played by actress Jessica Latour) being stalked by an axe wielding maniac played by bassist James Roy Daley in a mask, intermixed with footage of the full band playing inside a run-down (but well lit) barn. I'll hold comment on the song pending our full album review in September, but the video is excellently shot and edited, if a little too bright and sunny for such a horror-inspired plotline (at least for me), so give the full "Final Girl" video a watch for yourself below!

LOCAL CONCERT ALERTS (Tarnished & The Nostalgic Band), A New Local Band, And More!!

Let's continue this weekend's concert previews by primarily looking at bands playing tomorrow night, with Rotaryfest Stage 2 and Saturday-only events still to come. Kicking things off are SHORT NOTICE LOCAL CONCERT ALERTS, two tied to a new local band, so here's what you should know!

We have a new local classic metal cover band to add to our band links, namely The Nostalgic Band! Debuting with gigs at Reggie's Place in May and June, and originally named Nostalgia, this is the first full band project from prolific local singer/guitarist Tym Morrison since his old band Caveman Morrison's last show in 2016, so fans of his will be extra curious, even without his long hair! Tym is joined here by his 2012-2013 Caveman bandmate Randy "Dutch" Vanderploeg (otherwise best known as Browbeat's frontman) on bass, while former Nikkfitt drummer Chet Dziergas rounds out their lineup. Yes, Dutch is a Nikkfitt alum too, but they were not in that band concurrently. The Nostalgic Band's new Facebook group was actually created in time for their third & fourth gigs last month, but I only just found out about it this week, and they have confirmed a handful of new concert dates for the coming month.

These include returns to Reggie's Place TOMORROW & SATURDAY NIGHT, then on Friday, August 4th & Saturday, August 5th! Apologies for the short notice on TOMORROW & SATURDAY's concerts, they were only announced via the Facebook event page for all four Reggie's dates, which only went up on Sunday. The other new date will see The Nostalgic Band make their Jay's Piston Broke Pub debut in an apparent one-nighter on Friday, July 28th (click here for its Facebook event page), so fans of Tym, Randy, and Chet have lots of chances ahead to see them live, starting TOMORROW & SATURDAY NIGHT! All of these are 19+ concerts with 9:30 PM start times and no cover charges. All shot at Reggie's gigs, the videos include Facebook-exclusive covers of Starship's "We Built This City" and System of a Down's "Aerials" uploaded by Dutch, but they also have a YouTube channel that features cross-posted videos of Ozzy Osbourne's "I Don't Know" and, as embedded below, a 9 minute promotional video featuring assorted cover fragments from their debut gig on May 26th. So far so good for The Nostalgic Band performance wise, with strong musicianship and chemistry dating back to the Caveman Morrison days, and while I'd have made transitions more obvious in the promo clip, classic metalheads won't want to miss them TOMORROW & SATURDAY NIGHT at Reggie's Place!

Next up, we'll head across the river for another short notice announcement, as Sault Michigan metal quartet Tarnished will return to Snow's Bar & Grill in nearby Cedarville for one night only TOMORROW NIGHT! Again, apologies for the short notice, this show was only announced on their Facebook page this past Friday when they posted their concert slate for the next month+ there. Fresh off of their even later-notice Hessel gig last week, TOMORROW'S Cedarville show will be Tarnished's first at Snow's in three weeks, so if you're in the area or are up the 40 minute drive due south of the Soo, keep Tarnished's brand of old school metal originals & covers in mind! A one-nighter due to or resulting in Project 906's previously announced show there on Saturday (preview forthcoming), Tarnished are on TOMORROW at 8:00 PM with a 21+ age limit and no cover. As the Tarnished show was on short notice, I gave it priority in this post, hence why three naturally linked shows are broken apart here, but to close, let's head back to Sault Ontario for Nostalgic Band frontman Tym Morrison's previously announced solo acoustic concert TOMORROW NIGHT at The Mike Case Memorial Stage outside of The Trading Post! The second weekly gig of his new seasonal arrangement at the outdoor stage at 1332 Great Northern Road, shows in this series won't conflict with Nostalgic Band concerts on Fridays because Tym is only blocked from 7:00-9:00 PM at The Mike Case Stage. Long day for Tym, but hopefully easing into things with an unplugged gig will get things rolling naturally before he joins Randy and Chet downtown! You can enjoy Tym's solo classic/hard rock covers tomorrow at 7:00 PM with no age limit or cover charge, and the weather forecast is much the same as it will be at Rotaryfest happening concurrently.

9&10 News is still calling for a high temperature of 23° tomorrow, and while the chance of showers and thunderstorms has slightly dropped to 40%, keep the forecast in mind, as this is very much an outdoor concert (roof on the stage acknowledged).
