LOCAL CONCERT ALERT!!! (Sykotyk Rampage), and more!

Greetings everyone! I have some LOCAL CONCERT ALERTS for you all, so let's get this post started!

Sault Ontario's resident "blue chinese metal crash punk" band Sykotyk Rampage are back for a pair of shows this month! On April 24th and 25th, they will be hitting Madison's Pub on Pine Street for two concerts! Both shows will start at 10:00 PM, and are scheduled to run until about 2:00 PM! Thanks to Sykotyk Rampage guitarist Dirk Becker for the information! And check out the Facebook event page for these shows at this location!

Also, I completely missed this, but Sykotyk Rampage played a show at The Arcadia Coffeehouse last month! My apologies for missing it! But you guys should definitely check out Sykotyk Rampage this month, they're a great band that would love some more recognition in this town! And of course, head to their official SoundClick page to hear over 200 of their original songs!

Next up, a little news item that isn't entirely metal, but there's enough that I figure it should be mentioned. As you've probably noticed from the entertainment section of SooToday, you will have seen a lot of photo albums attached to concert reviews by SooToday's own Donna Hopper. Well, starting July 2nd at 7:00 PM, there will be an exhibition of Hopper's photography from numerous concerts at The LopLops Lounge, entitled "Now Let's Shoot That Fucking Band"!

This exhibition will run until July 31st, and photos from local concerts featuring Kiss, Three Days Grace, The Scorpions, and Grady, among others, are planned to be featured! Donna Hopper is a great photographer, and she has tons of high quality shots from local concerts, as well as band promo pics, and others! You can check out some of them at the official Facebook fan page for Donna Hopper Photography (which is also now in the Other Metal Band Links at the right of the page!) And to check out more info on this photo exhibition, head to it's official Facebook event page!

That's all for now, more news to come very soon! And a reminder, go see Cattle Decapitation this Sunday!!!!!
